In compliance with the Engrossed Substitute Senate Bill 5509 (now RCW 39.35.D), allĀ Seattle Colleges facilities are built to at least LEED Silver (since 2005) and energy and water performance is reported annually to the Department of Enterprise Services. LEED is a green building rating system developed by the US Green Building Council, a non-profit, consensus based organization made up of architect and engineering firms, product manufacturers, and federal, state, and local government agencies.
